Who asks for the folio

Quality managers and the supervisors who own a single line ask for this study when the inspection book, the scrap tray, and the shift handover are telling three versions of the same week. The work suits plants that already write things down. A line with empty books needs a different conversation, and we say so before a deposit is taken.

What is left on the desk

You keep a cloth-bound folio and a briefing of about one hour with up to eight people from the line. The hour is held with the people who run the work. We do not present the folio to a distant office and call that the briefing.

• A tally of defect codes for the agreed line and date window

• A note naming the codes inspectors actually write, including codes missing from the procedure

• One revision after the plant checks names and codes

The line and the window

The starting scope is one line or one cell, up to ninety days of records, and one family of defects or one characteristic group. That might be solder faults on a board line, fill weights on a pouch line, or a stamped dimension. A second line is quoted on its own. Records older than the window are not folded in to make the picture look smoother.

Inside the starting fee

The fee covers a letter of scope, intake of copies, the reading, the chart set, one revision, the briefing, and the folio left with the quality manager. Intake is either a visit or a half-day at the office if the plant brings the copies.

Outside this study

These sit beyond the folio. If you need them, we will say so rather than stretch the study until it pretends to cover them.

• Laboratory tests and measurement done by an outside lab
• Rewriting procedures or work instructions
• Certification visits and customer audits
• Buying or installing gauges and fixtures
• Weekly charting after the briefing has ended

Who reads the books

Cognit Quarry Analytics Co., Ltd. carries the study. Niran Chaiyaporn or Malee Srisuk leads the reading. Arthit Wong arranges the visit and stays for the briefing so a night-shift account is not shortened into a day-shift sentence. Two part-time readers may copy figures from photographs. They do not brief the plant.

How the weeks run

Most files move in this order. If the books are unreadable, we stop and write to you before the later steps.

• A short letter names the line, the dates, and where the books live
• A deposit of forty percent opens the file
• Original books stay at the plant unless the manager asks us to carry them
• Charting usually takes ten to fourteen working days after intake
• A draft returns so the plant can correct codes and people's names
• The briefing follows that revision, and the balance is due before the hour begins

Time and place

Count three to four weeks from intake to briefing. Plants in Bangkok are visited within the starting fee. Visits to Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, and Chonburi are written into the quote when travel is required. Copies may also be brought to 18/2 Lat Phrao Road, Khlong Chaokho Laem, Wang Thonglang, Bangkok 10310.

What to have in the room

Bring the inspection book, the scrap tickets, and the list of codes used on that line. Someone who can read the night shift's handwriting should sit at the intake. If the sheets are only pass-or-fail ticks, say so in the first letter. The picture will be thinner, and we will tell you that before we start.

Rows we will not invent

Handwriting we cannot read is marked unread. We do not supply a likely code to fill a hole. If books are missing for more than about a third of the agreed window, we pause and talk before drawing further. A rush shorter than ten working days, a second line, and heavy shorthand that needs a slower reading are quoted before work begins.
