Refunds

Cancellations and refunds

These terms apply to studies and chart sessions commissioned from Cognit Quarry Analytics Co., Ltd. They follow the way the work is actually done: a deposit, a reading of books, a folio, and sometimes a visit. Write refund requests to hello@cognitquarry.click or telephone (02-538-4901).

Eligibility

A refund is available when we have not started the reading, when we decline the file because the records cannot support the study, or when you cancel inside the windows below. A change of mind after the charts have been drawn is handled as work already started, not as an unused fee.

Timeframes

Cancel a study in writing within three working days of paying the deposit, and before we have opened the books, for a full refund of that deposit. After those three days, or once reading has started, the deposit is kept and any unused portion of a later balance is calculated in the reply. Cancel a Chart Reading Session at least five working days before the half day for a full refund. Cancel inside those five days for a refund of half the fee. A no-show, or a cancellation on the day, is not refunded, because the room and the day were held.

Full and partial refunds

A full refund of money received is due if we decline the work before reading starts, or if we cancel a visit we can no longer staff. A partial refund applies when some of the work is done: for example, intake is finished and charting has begun, and you then stop the file. We state the hours and pages already spent and return the remainder of sums paid above that portion. The Chart Reading Session's half-fee window is the partial case for that service.

Non-refundable items

A printed folio that has already been bound is not refunded as a material, even if the briefing is later moved. Travel that has already been booked outside Bangkok, including a non-recoverable fare or a room, is not refunded. The balance of a study is not collected before the briefing; do not send it early if you are still unsure of the date.

Work already started, and rescheduling

Once readers have begun entering figures, the study is started. Charts drafted to that point can be delivered as they stand if you stop the file, and the fee follows the partial rule above. You may move a briefing once without a fee if you give three working days' notice and the books do not need to be photographed again. A second move, or a move that requires a new visit, is quoted. A Chart Reading Session may move once without a fee with five working days' notice. If the key inspector is absent, we would rather move the day than brief an empty column; that move at our suggestion does not reduce the refund rights you already have.

Deposits and no-shows

The study deposit is forty percent. It opens the file. It is not a tip and it is not a subscription. If no one meets us for an intake that was confirmed, and the books are not available, the visit is treated as started time. We write down what happened and apply the partial rule rather than a silent extra invoice. A no-show at a Chart Reading Session forfeits the fee.

How a refund is paid

Ask in writing. We confirm eligibility within five working days. Approved sums are returned to the original payment method within fourteen working days of that confirmation. If the original method cannot receive the return, we ask for another account in the payer's name. We do not refund to a different company without a written instruction from the payer.

Where these terms do not stretch

We do not sell goods by mail, and we do not take payment on this website. Laboratory tests, certification audits, and gauge purchases are outside our studies, so they have no refund path here. Questions about a fee that was never agreed in a letter of scope are answered as enquiries, not as refunds.
